Martin Matte is not only one of the most famous stand up comedians in Quebec, but he also has his own show, Les Beaux Malaises. He recently had an interview with Châtelaine, where he mentions that he is a big fan of contemporary art and mentions two artists – one of them being Corno. Translated in English he says “I am a painting enthusiast. The classics, but certainly contemporary art. Local artists like Marc Séguin, Corno.”
Thank you Martin Matte for the mention, but even more so for the many laughs over the years!
Corno is a canadian artist internationally celebrated for her colorful paintings that combine bold new expressionist brush strokes with edgy contemporary portraiture. She paints large scale human faces and torsos that reflect the mastery she has gained from a career spanning 30 years.
