Fuerza Bruta is pure energy. A fusion of dance and music loaded with fiery special effects, the show challenges traditional theatrical forms and explores new modes of expression.
Fuerza Bruta is an independent theater company from Argentina. Founded in 2003, the company gained fame with its first eponymous show "Fuerza Bruta" which was staged worldwide and welcomed with unabashed enthusiasm. The fruit of a collaboration of directors, choreographers, composers, and musicians, Fuerza Bruta presents avant-garde “performances” where genres meet and explode.
On 7 June 2015, Fuerza Bruta presented "Wayra", the company’s most recent creation, at the Daryl Roth Theater on Broadway where it will run until January 2016. The show borrows its name from the Quechua term "wayra" which means "air". The title aptly describes the powerful and energetic show. Defying the laws of gravity, the dancers’ bodies seem propelled by energy fluctuations, moving with the grace and levity of bursts of wind.
