Two new paintings by Corno that recently arrived from New York city are now on display at AKA Gallery. Both portraits depict a dazzling vision of Marilyn Monroe: Corno’s style reveals a complex, sensitive and vulnerable person and instantly draws out our own emotions. Unveiled June 9 at AKA Gallery, the two new paintings have already made a strong impression and continue to attract visitors to the gallery.
Corno is a canadian artist internationally celebrated for her colorful paintings that combine bold new expressionist brush strokes with edgy contemporary portraiture. She paints large scale human faces and torsos that reflect the mastery she has gained from a career spanning 30 years.
