In her new series "Still Life... Alive" Corno completely reinvents herself. Between still life and abstract, this floral-inspired collection is a contrast from her usual subject matters. We experience the same inalienable energy that defines the splendor of Corno`s art in her new works. With a new artistic direction, "Still Life... Alive" explodes with color and vibrancy. It is an evolution in style that is fresh and alive, like a spring breeze amid the first winds of winter.
The first paintings of "Still Life... Alive" will be unveiled at AKA Gallery in Montreal during a private event Thursday, November 26. They will be on display throughout the month of December.
Corno is a canadian artist internationally celebrated for her colorful paintings that combine bold new expressionist brush strokes with edgy contemporary portraiture. She paints large scale human faces and torsos that reflect the mastery she has gained from a career spanning 30 years.
