These three original charcoals on newsprint, which were recently recovered from Corno’s New York studio, are currently on display at AKA Gallery in Montreal. The charcoal drawings are in-depth anatomical studies of the subjects by the artist. The search for an aesthetic ideal is taken to the next level with the representation of human bodies in movement. The minimalist style of the composition is mastered to perfection and sublimates the intensity of each line, each shadow, channeling the energy that breathes life into the artwork.
